What is the catch?
There isn't one. But don't take our word for it:
Does it cost anything?
No. The pass is free for neighbors, always. Shops pay only when you walk in and redeem — and 25% of that goes to whoever sent you.
Do I need to download another app?
No. Your email is your pass — it lives in your browser. Email plus a QR code is the whole system.
Do you track where I go?
No. Your exact position is never kept. We round it to about a kilometre, and only to learn where there are no offers yet — without an email there is nothing to attach it to, and we never build a history of where you have been.
Will I see the same shops over and over?
Each business sets how often its offer can be redeemed — usually a daily cap. The pass sorts closest first and points you at what you haven't tried yet.
So who funds this credit?
The shop. When you send someone and they redeem, that shop set a referral fee and 25% of it becomes credit on your pass. Nobody is paying you out of pocket — the business you sent them to is the one funding it.
Can I get the credit as cash?
No, and that is deliberate. Credit is earned once a referral clears its 14 days hold — scan any shop's code and staff apply it at the counter, in $5 amounts. It expires after 1 year. Keeping it in-network is what lets a single share be worth something straight away — there is no payout to wait for, because there is nothing to be paid into.
Will I get spammed?
No. No newsletters you didn't ask for, no punch-card clutter. You hear about offers you can actually claim nearby.
